Parkinson

Innovative rehabilitation and individual therapy for people with Parkinson's disease.

Parkinson's disease is a disease of the brain, which often manifests itself through lack of movement, muscle stiffness and tremors at rest. There are various factors (a combination of genetic factors and environmental influences) that can lead to Parkinson's disease, although the exact cause can very often not be determined. The disease damages the dopamine-producing nerve cells, which are also responsible for transmitting electrical impulses to muscle cells. This impairs coordination and makes it more difficult to initiate movement. In many cases, movement is restricted, gait becomes unsteady and there is an increased risk of falling. In addition to drug therapy, the quality of life can also be improved with intensive occupational and physiotherapy.

In our therapy center, we work on movement coordination (for example with the Pablo Set) as well as trunk stabilization and balance control (with the help of Tymo, exoskeleton or LokomatPro) using various devices. Movements that are necessary in everyday life can be repeated at a high frequency with our therapy devices and thus relearned particularly efficiently.
